Before: The kitchen and sunroom lacked cohesion. Five different wood finishes and faux finish wall treatments created a chaotic look.
After: All is calmed by painting all trim work white with the exception of the center window that is highlighted with a deep green, blending with the green of the garden outside. The kitchen walls are painted with two “juicy” tones of yellow and orange which complement the wood cabinets, and the sunroom was painted green to reflect the garden beyond.
Before: The kitchen was unbalanced in color. Dull, all white walls left the only color on the floors. The porch has a green floor and the kitchen has an oriental rug.
After: Color balance brings life to the room, with the bonus of showing off the architectural features of the room.
